How much does it cost?
$30 per person plus tax for group bookings. Open throw nights are $20 per person plus tax.
When are you open?
We open at noon Monday-Saturday. You must make a reservation in advance. Walk-in session every Wednesday starting at 7pm.
How long is a booking?
We determine how much time you need based on your groups size. A standard booking consists of instruction by an axe coach, practice throwing and a round robin tournament. We guarantee each player 3 games in this system. A booking can be anywhere from 1-3 hours based on group size.
What is the age requirement?
We do not have a minimum or maximum age. Our axe coaches will assess your strength and ability to throw the axe on site. If they feel you cannot safely throw an axe they will deem you unfit to participate. People under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian who will sign their waiver on site.
How does your league work?
We run leagues throughout the year. Our leagues are 7 weeks plus playoffs. It is $120 per person plus tax per person. All players must have their own NATF approved axe. What's your booking/cancellation policy?
In order to hold your spot we must receive payment for at least 4 people on weekdays and 6 people on Friday/Saturday nights. Once we receive your payment your date and time slot is confirmed. You may add people (12 people maximum on one playing area) to your time slot up to 8 days before your booking. If you have to reschedule your booking we will allow you to change your time slot to a later date so long as you inform us at least 8 days before your confirmed time slot.
Can someone just come to watch?
Yes. But everyone in our facility must sign a waiver before entering.
What is an open throw session?
Open throw is a public walk-in time, you will not have a guaranteed time slot or private throwing area and coach. During these open throw sessions guests will share the equipment and space (similar to a public gym) with other participants. Axe coaches will be able to help guide you on site. Open throw is $20 per person. You can pay cash or e-transfer on site. Click below to book.
Do I get a prize?
Yes bragging rights for being an Axpert! We also will have merch available soon for purchase which will includes t-shirts, hats etc and a small trophy. For group bookings we also offer winner certificates free of charge!
Do you have a waiting list?
Yes. Please contact us via email and let us know your chosen date and time and if in the rare case we have a cancellation we can contact you.
How many people do you need to play?
There is a minimum charge of 4 people on weekdays and minimum of 6 people on Friday and Saturday. However, you can pay for the minimum and come in as just one person for the time slot to play. We can host up to 12 people on one playing area consisting of two targets. To book the entire room you need to have 24+ people in your group.
How can I join a group my friend already booked?
Is there a dress code?
We recommend wearing a loose fitting shirt that allows your arms to move freely. Closed toe shoes are mandatory. Crocs, softer constructed shoes (like Toms, etc) and high heels are strongly discouraged.
Can I bring my own axe?
No. Northern Axperts will provide all necessary equipment.
Can we bring our own food?
No. Our partners have a full menu available on site for food and beverages. We will however allow a birthday cake to be brought on site. You will receive 15% off food items when booked at Northern Axperts (Sudbury Location Only).

What are my parking options?
Northern Axperts Sudbury – Street parking and all municipal lots are free after 6pm Monday-Friday and on Saturdays and Sundays. Check out the Downtown parking map here.
Northern Axperts North Bay – We are located inside the Voyager, there is plenty of space just look for the Northern Axperts signage.
Can I bring my child or baby?
Yes. But all persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their guardian at all times. A waiver must also be signed by the guardian for the underage person. No one under the age of 19 is allowed after 6pm.
Can I participate if I am pregnant or have a medical condition/disability?
That is at the discretion of the participant. Always consult your doctor before participating in a physical sport.
