FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long is a booking?

2 hours long. If you are looking for something custom for a large group please contact us via phone.

  • What is the age requirement?

We do not have a minimum or maximum age. Our axe coaches assess your strength and ability to throw the axe on site. If they feel you cannot safely throw an axe they will deem you unfit to participate. People under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a legal guardian who will sign their waiver on site. Or arrange to get a waiver in advance to bring with them already signed.

  • How does your league work?

We run leagues throughout the year. Our leagues are seven weeks plus playoffs. It is $120 per person plus tax. All players must have their own IATF approved axe. See specs on the IATF site. (Inquire if we have axes available through Northern Axperts.) We will be accepting only 30 people per league. You can register as an individual for our next open league by emailing kelsey@northeraxperts.com

Leagues runs different nights of the week.

  • What is your booking/cancelation policy?

We encourage you to book our minimum to hold your playing area and then reach out 1 week prior to add throwers once your guests have confirmed.

All sales are final with no refunds within 3 days of your session.

However, you will be able to reschedule your visit as long as you give us a ring at least 3 days out!

  • Can I make a same day booking?

Please call us and we will check if a coach and lanes are available and respond back as quickly as we can.

  • Can someone just come to watch?

    Yes.

  • Do I get a prize?

Yes bragging rights for being an Axpert! We also have merch available for purchase (t-shirts, hats, beer coozies, stickers, etc). We also offer winner certificates free of charge!

  • Do you have a waiting list?

No. Our bookings, if cancelled go right back up on the booking system availability.

  • How can I join a group my friend already booked?

    Contact us at booking@northernaxperts.com

  • Is there a dresscode?

No. Northern Axperts provides all necessary equipment.

Contact Wacky Wings for catering options for Sudbury as well as table reservations before or after your axe booking. (You can order food on site in the axe lounge and a Wacky's team member will bring it into the lounge for you!)

  • What are the rules?

You axe throwing coach explains everything before you begin.

  • Can I participate if I am pregnant or have a medical condition/disability?

That is at the discretion of the participant. Always consult your doctor before participating in a physical sport.

  • Can we tip the Axe Coach?

Generally, customers do tip when they are pleased with their event. Gratuities are always appreciated by the axe coach, but they are not expected.
